From 1998, Sooji started to explore alternative and holistic ways of healing for her chronic lung problems and depression. Since then, she has studied various types of healing and mind practices including energy yoga, tai-chi, meditation, expressive arts therapy, EFT, NLP and Avatar. She has mainly practiced ancient Korean tradition of yoga, tai-chi and healing system since 2002 and became a master teacher and healer in 2004. She has actively been teaching yoga and meditation classes and workshops combining both Eastern and Western body-mind systems and sharing her love for holistic healing in Boston and in Korea since then.
She has received MA and holistic health certificate from Lesley University in 2004. She has recently published a self-healing book, “I let myself heal” by Sigong Publications in Korea in 2014 and has opened up a meditation studio called “SOUM”which means “breahing”in Korean and stands for “Studio Of Urban Meditation”in Korea the same year. SOUM provides 6 stages of self-healing methods by combining both eastern mind-body systems of energy yoga, tai chi and meditation and western practices of artistic therapies.
